Geico Overlook Opened
|

In a short ceremony this morning, NewTown Macon
opened the newest section of the Ocmulgee Heritage
Trail. The section extends from Gateway Park to an
overlook upriver. The beautiful overlook was named
for GEICO, a generous donor to the trail and sponsor
of the GEICO Ocmulgee Adventure race. Visit Flickr

First Friday Tonight
|
|
On the first Friday of every month, downtown comes
to life with music, art and entertainment. From 6pm
until 10pm, Macon's outdoor alcohol laws are
suspended for the downtown area. Join us tonight
and stroll through art galleries, book stores and
eclectic shops with a glass of wine, or enjoy a
cocktail listening to outdoor musicians.
