Tour of Progress

Downtown Macon

oin us on Wednesday, October 19 for a behind-the-scenes tour of downtown Macon’s transformative development. NewTown Macon’s Tour of Progress, presented by Cadence Bank, provides a sneak peek of projects underway and a look into what programs fuel our vibrant downtown. This event is family-friendly and FREE!
Tours are self-guided. To take the tour, stop by Adams Square (823 Forsyth Street), between 4pm and 7pm to pick up a tour map and to tour one of downtown's newest rehabilitation projects.
Set out around downtown and look for decals with QR codes in front of each tour stop. Scan the QR code with your smartphone to read more about the highlighted business or project and to learn from the entrepreneurs and developers that are fueling downtown’s progress.
Volunteers will be stationed along the way to keep you moving in the right direction and to answer questions.
End your self-guided walking tour in Cotton Avenue Plaza to enjoy drinks and light refreshments. Tour-goers who wish to attend the awards ceremony should arrive at Cotton Avenue Plaza by 6:45pm.
The Partner in Progress awards reception will take place outdoors in Cotton Avenue Plaza following tours and will begin at 7pm. In case of inclement weather, the reception will take place at Hargray Capitol Theatre.
While this event is free, we ask that you please RSVP so we can have a head count. RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tour-of-progress-2022-tickets-415588615737?fbclid=IwAR3GYw2kjT84Rf2i41QuE_ZKJ_LyNZPmakv_q2JizYSd0wQ5nkdU1x4mevg

When you shop local, you're supporting your fellow community members. For every $100 spent with a locally owned business, $68 stays in the community.
