The best part of being a member of our Downtown Macon Community Association is working together with neighbors to create a beautiful, vibrant, and safe central gathering place where people live, eat, shop, and enjoy feeling a part of their community. Downtown Macon Community Association embraces being the heartbeat of our city and the heart of our community as well as being a partner in providing an environment and atmosphere for individuals and businesses to feel connected.

Karen Hix, 2021 Chair

The Downtown Macon Community Association, referred to as DMCA, serves as downtown’s neighborhood watch group and merchants’ association.

Downtown business owners, employees, and residents meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am. DMCA’s monthly meetings offer the opportunity to learn more about events and programs happening in downtown Macon and to collaborate with other business owners. Each month, speakers from the community share about initiatives their organizations coordinate and how upcoming events or projects will affect daily life in downtown Macon.

Email Emily Hopkins at emily@newtownmacon.com to be added to the DMCA mailing list for meeting reminders and to get involved.
