Visit Macon Beer Company’s production warehouse in downtown’s industrial area to see where 450 barrels of beer are packaged and distributed to 100+ accounts monthly. Macon Beer Company was the first brewery to open in Macon since the Prohibition Era and helped ignite Macon’s beer scene.
Macon Beer Company Taproom & Kitchen
Macon Beer Company’s distribution success allowed the company to expand and open a taproom in the heart of downtown Macon. The taproom features beer and spirits produced by Macon Beer Company along with a full menu. Be sure to stop by for brunch to enjoy their loaded Bloody Mary made with Macon Beer Company’s Second Street Spirits Vodka and a hamburger slider as a garnish.

Ocmulgee Brewpub’s menu features delectable burgers with hand-ground patties and hand-cut fries. Grab a flight of beers brewed on site and grab a seat at a communal table to chat with locals.

Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen’s beer master is always experimenting with new flavors to create a constantly rotating beer menu. Check out Fall Line Brewing Co., downtown’s newest brewery. Enjoy beers produced on site with sandwiches while playing cornhole or watching a movie in the gorgeous beer garden. Just Tap’d Craft Beer Festival - April
The Just Tap’d Craft Beer Festival features 100+ beers from breweries around the Southeast, live music, and food trucks. The festival takes place on Poplar Street, near Just Tap’d, and offers fun for the whole family.
Macon Beer Festival - October
The Macon Beer Festival, benefitting Pints for Prostates, takes place on Third and Poplar Streets in downtown Macon in October. This festival features 50+ beers, a wine garden, music, a morning 5k, and beer races throughout the day. Free PSA screenings are available during the festival to support the festival’s mission of prostate cancer awareness. Grab a few of your favorite buds and feel good about supporting a good cause.
