Job Description
The Leasing Consultant is a part-time mid-level position responsible for driving occupancy. The Leasing Consultant will be the first point of contact and brand ambassador for Neel's Lofts, an upscale residential community. This role blends relationship-based sales, elevated customer service, and market knowledge to deliver a best-in-class leasing experience. The ideal candidate is polished, persuasive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. Neel’s Lofts features a first-of-its-kind 95-unit residential apartment, two retail spaces, one restaurant, and nine coworking offices. The successful employee will deliver a high-touch leasing experience from initial inquiry through move-in, conduct personalized, lifestyle-driven tours highlighting design, finishes, and amenities. Convert leads into applications and execute leases through consistent follow-up. Maintain expert knowledge of floor plans, pricing, availability, market competitors, and meet or exceed weekly and monthly leasing goals. The candidate will provide professional, welcoming service to all prospects and residents. Communicate community policies, pricing, and expectations clearly and accurately. Coordinate seamless move-ins and resident onboarding. Support resident retention through proactive service and engagement. A successful candidate will accurately enter and maintain prospect and resident data in CRM/property management systems. Process applications, screenings, and lease documents in compliance with Fair Housing laws. Track and report daily traffic, tours, follow-ups, and leasing activity. Additional responsibilities include daily model and amenity walks, making sure they are fresh and tidy. Maintaining the leasing area/Coffee bar is stocked and cleaned daily.
This role reports directly to the Community Manager.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of leasing, hospitality, luxury retail, or consultative sales experience preferred
- Strong closing skills and customer-focused sales approach
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Polished professional appearance and demeanor
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working weekends and flexible schedules
- Prior Multifamily housing experience is a plus
- Lease-up experience is a plus
- Experience with AppFolio is a plus
Performance Measures:
The successful candidate will expend their time based on the following allocation of time to tasks, which will be evaluated through an annual performance review and revision by the employee’s direct supervisor:
1. Prospect & Leasing Activity (30%)
- Respond to all new leads within company time standards
- Conduct scheduled tours and walk-in presentations
- Log all traffic and interactions in the CRM
- Follow up with prospects via phone, email, or text
2. Marketing & Community Standards (30%)
- Maintain leasing area, Model units and amenity cleanliness
- Support Social Media and Outreach Marketing as assigned
- Assist with Resident events and tours as scheduled
3. Application & Lease Processing (25%)
- Assist applicants with paperwork and screening requirements
- Process applications accurately and confidentially
- Prepare and execute lease agreements
- Schedule approved move-ins and communicate next steps
4. Resident Support (10%)
- Answer/pass to management any resident issues that are beyond your control
- Input any resident updates/changes into the software
- Log Maintenance request
5. General Other (5%)
- Administrative tasks
