WANT TO BE A VENDOR?

The Market welcomes vendors selling produce and handmade food items and crafts. Our goal is to feature local farmers and artisans and because of this, we are committed to a producer-only market.

To become a vendor, please read the information and then fill out the vendor application online or download the application and return it to Emily Hopkins at emily@newtownmacon.com.

Products and Vendors

The Market will strive to maintain, though will not guarantee, a 50-30-20 ratio of vendors: 50% fresh produce and meat, 30% handmade food items such as jellies, jams, baked goods, etc., and 20% crafts and non-food items. This ratio will guide the acceptance of vendors at the Market.

No vendors are allowed to resell products purchased in bulk from retail grocery stores. Vendors may source produce from other farmers located within the state of Georgia as long as they show verification of where they purchased the product and maintain a 50-50 ratio of items produced by the vendor and purchased items. Vendors who violate these guidelines will be asked to leave The Market and will not receive a refunded vendor fee.

Power

If needed, power will be supplied on a first-come, first-served basis for vendors.

Payment

Vendors are responsible for collecting payment for their products. EBT/SNAP, tokens, or any sort of secondary payment will NOT be accepted at the market. It is up to vendors to determine the methods of payment they prefer to collect.

Vendor Fees

$10/market

$60/9 markets (savings of $30)

Rain/Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement weather decisions will be made 24 hours in advance of the market. Refunds will not be given for vendor fees paid in advance.

Programming

The Market will feature live music, demos, and programming to encourage more attendees to patronize participating vendors. NewTown Macon will work with partner organizations to offer cooking demonstrations, craft activities led by artists, and libraries without walls. These efforts will help create an experience that will engage most segments of the population and make the market more of an event.

NewTown Macon will also activate the park space by placing bistro sets with chairs, hammocks, large beanbags, and lawn games like corn hole.
