Spring is right around the corner, and so are two exciting new art installations in downtown Macon! We’re celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival with Echoes of Sound and Bloom—two immersive art experiences that highlight Macon’s vibrant community spirit.
Echoes of Sound – An Immersive Art Experience

Step into the future of Macon’s musical heritage with Echoes of Sound, an immersive art installation by artist Megan Mosholder. This innovative installation combines light, sculpture, and dynamic sensory elements to celebrate Macon’s past while embracing the city’s cultural evolution. It’s an opportunity to experience a piece of art that brings together the rich history of Macon’s music scene with the energy of our community today.

This project is made possible through a partnership between NewTown Macon and DASH, with the support of an anonymous donor through the Community Foundation.
Bloom – Celebrating Creativity in Pink

Location: Loom and Third & Cherry, Downtown Macon
As part of the Paint Macon Pink initiative and the Cherry Blossom Festival, Bloom brings Elise Williams’ art to life on the storefronts at Loom and Third & Cherry in downtown Macon. This installation will give a bold, colorful splash to the city’s landscape. Bloom is all about celebrating Macon’s unique spirit, with a pop of pink and a sense of community pride.
Explore the colorful display at Loom and Third & Cherry all night and the rest of the month! Don’t forget to stroll through downtown to see how other local businesses are celebrating the season! Throughout the month of March, the streets will be decked out in pink decor, bringing even more life to downtown Macon as part of the Cherry Blossom Festival.
