Spirit Forward is a downtown Macon cocktail collaborative designed to highlight our talented bartenders/mixologists and promote locally distilled Georgia spirits!
Each week, bartenders from participating bars, venues, and restaurants will be tasked with reimagining classic cocktails with an unexpected spirit. On Mondays, NewTown Macon will select and announce a cocktail for every participating venue to create. But here’s the catch – each venue will be assigned a spirit from a sponsoring distillery to create the featured cocktail of the week! This might mean a venue has to develop a classic Old Fashioned using gin, or a gimlet with bourbon. Each week will bring a variety of new twists to the drinks you know and love.
Each venue will only have 2 days to develop their cocktail. On Wednesday nights beginning August 7 through August 28, you’re invited to taste the concoctions and discover new favorites and flavor profiles.
Visit each participating venue over the course of the month, and you’ll be entered to win a $25 gift card from each participating business. A punch card to track your progress will be available on August 7. Email your completed card to emily@newtownmacon.com by August 30. The lucky winner will be announced on September 4!
